The only thing I get is a Realtek console app that when opening says it is not compatible. After installing Realtek drivers, there is still no Realtek audio manager. Just upgraded to a new mobo ASUS Rog Strix Z390-E Gaming and also in the process installed W10 1909. It is also important to know what your full Windows version is, you can view that by going to the Settings app -> System -> About, and then it will be listed as the OS Build, for example 19042.421 Also, include as much information about your computer as possible, including the specs of your hardware, and/or the full make and model of your computer. If you have not already, be sure to include as much information about your issue that you can, including any error messages, error codes, what steps it takes to create the issue, and what you have done to troubleshoot. You may want to also post this on /r/TechSupport for more exposure. This is not a generic tech support subreddit, so your post may be removed if your issue is not related to Windows, even if your computer has Windows installed.
You have selected the Help post flair, which is to request assistance with the Windows 10 OS and its related systems.
Tl dr - how to either stop RAC from opening when pluggin in headphones, or get HD Audio Manager to start at startup somehow (preferably without the window opening) I'm not holding out much hope, but if anyone has suggestions, i'm all ears. So now i'm stuck between either having the Audio Console open every time i plug in my headphones, or i have to manually go into the control panel and launch the HD Audio Manager on every reboot. once i opened the Realtek HD Audio Manager from the control panel, however, headphone jack detection would work again. until i rebooted the laptop, at which point plugging in my headphones would do nothing at all.
i ended up finding a driver download that installed the HD Audio Manager, and at first that seemed to fix the problem entirely. I did find people with similar issues, but they all also had to do with the Realtek HD Audio Manager, which wasn't installed on my system by default. it generally to opened minimized, thankfully, but i still didn't want it to open at all, so i went looking for answers. I got a new Asus gaming laptop recently, and every time i plugged in my headset, the Realtek Audio Console would open. I've searched high and low but couldn't find any threads anywhere of people having this same particular issue, so i'm turning to y'all. not sure what happened, but i'm not going to mess with it again until it messes with me again.
